Importance of Backing Up your Aloha Data

 Your data is one of the most valuable assets to your business. Computers fail for a variety of reasons and having a backup of your data to restore is invaluable.

  •  Recommended to back up Aloha data onsite and offsite establishment

  •  Copy the Aloha folder on thumb drive, external hardware, or  preferred software

  • Back up data once a day when establishment is closed or schedule back up using third party software  (Ex. Carbonite)

Why TikTok for restaurants?

In a recent TechCrunch article, Google's senior vice president Prabhakar Raghavan, who runs Google’s Knowledge and Information organization, said, “In our studies, something like almost 40% of young people, when they’re looking for a place for lunch, they don’t go to Google Maps or Search. They go to TikTok or Instagram.” 

36% of TikTok users visited or ordered food from a restaurant after seeing it on TikTok, according to MGH, a social media marketing agency.

How to Reset Aloha Manager Password

 (Before resetting password EDC needs to be closed out. )

  •  Step 1:  Login to Aloha Manager with another account that is NOT locked out. 

  • Step 2: Navigate to Maintenance > Labor > Users. If Users does not appear on the menu then the account that is logged in may not have access to this feature in which case you will need to contact tech support.

 
 
  • Step 3: Select the User you wish to reset the password for from the dropdown labeled “Users”

  • Step 4: Click the Reset Password button and enter a simple temporary password that the user will log in with. Ex: 1111 or 1234

  • Step 5: Logout of the current user and log back into Aloha Manager with the locked out account using the Temporary password.  It will ask for a new Complex password to be created for that account, once entered the user has access to their account.
